Godfrey Street Community House is a community based non-profit organisation with a voluntary Committee of Management.

The Community House is managed by a salaried manager on a daily basis; the position of Manager is funded by the Department of Families, Fairness & Housing.

The level of commitment and the degree of involvement by a committee member can vary considerably. 
The Committee of Management ensures the following:

  • Legal obligations are carried out under any applicable Acts. i.e. Associations Incorporated, O.H.&S and the Privacy Act

  • Accountability requirements are met for grants received

  • Appropriate Insurance cover for the Community House are current

Committee meetings are held of an evening on a monthly basis and the Annual General Meeting is normally held during November of each year.
